The Society Express Band is by far one of the most talented   bands in Atlanta today. Guests continue to rave over the amazing variety they play from Hot Latin Salsa, Disco, Motown, Big Band Swing to Country, Dixieland, Funk and Classic Rock.

It's no secret that they are also a great bargain for Brides who are on a budget (or who have picked a smaller more intimate venue) because all the musicians double on instruments and they can provide a big sound whether it's a trio or a four to eight piece band.

The Society Express Band has played for such high profile events such as a wedding for the owner of Calloway Gardens, The founders of Waffle House, 3 sitting Georgia Governors including Zell Miller, Roy Barnes and Sonny Perdue. Mayor Shirley Franklin, Senator Sam Nunn and Ambassador Andrew Young. They have played private events for Atlanta favorites such as Clark Howard (Consumer Advocate), Jeff Foxworthy (Comic), and John Pruitt & Monica Kaufman (Channel 2 News Anchors).

Society Express has been the band of choice for 7 straight years for the International Consulars Ball and for 6 years featured at the prominent Shakespeare Festival Preview Party. Together for over 15 years, they have played for most all of the top Georgia companies such as; Bell South, Coke, Delta, UPS, GA Pacific, Mirant, Home Depot just to name a few.

Jeni Michelson, the band leader for Society Express sings in 12 languages, plays over 2,000 songs and she is unique in that she is one of the very few female band leaders in Atlanta and with her expertise, attention to detail and keen sense of timing she will keep the party rolling perfectly.

Ken Gregory, her guitar player of 15 years, doubles on trumpet, trombone and is well known through out Atlanta for performing the very best Louis Armstrong impersonation. Society Express played their charming "Louis-style" version of "What A Wonderful World" for President Carter and his wife Rosalynn as they danced together @ The Carter Center and received a standing ovation!

Her bass player of 8 years, Dave Webb, recently finished a year long tour with the #1 Grammy Award winning country act, Sugarland.

The Society Express Band is tight group....fun, organized and professional. They are the only band in Atlanta that can offer 3 dynamite horn players in a 6 piece group. This band also has a stand-up bass player who doubles on electric bass (which makes for a great transition from dinner to dance!).
